It just speeds up my work.

What differentiates AskCodi from other similar products?
Askcodi is now a normal part of how I work. It's not just one thing; it's the whole thing that makes it work. I'll use it to make a new part in React, write the documentation, and then make a few simple tests. It just makes everything go faster.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I really like the "codi apps." They are a smart idea. I don't have to keep track of a lot of prompts. I just go to the web app, click on "query writer," and type in what I need the SQL query to do. It's so useful. The code it makes is usually very clean and follows best practices.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The ideas in the IDE can be a little basic at times. It does a good job with boilerplate, but for complicated algorithms, I have to write most of it by hand.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It makes you much more productive. It's a useful tool that helps me finish the boring parts of my job faster so I can focus on the hard ones.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity

a lifesaver for writing tests and docs

What differentiates AskCodi from other similar products?
the main thing for me is how it handles the tasks i hate. i'm a developer, not a writer. askcodi's documentation generator is fantastic. it writes clear, accurate docstrings for my functions, and i barely have to edit them. the same goes for unit tests. it writes all the boilerplate test code, so i can just focus on the edge cases.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
i like the "codi apps" concept. it's way easier than trying to write a complex prompt for a chatbot. i just click "generate test" and it does it. it's also very fast for these specific tasks. i've used it in both pycharm and on the web, and both work great.
What do you dislike most about this product?
it's not as magical as copilot at pure "mind-reading" autocomplete. its in-line suggestions are good, but copilot's sometimes feel one step ahead.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
if you're a developer who dreads writing documentation and unit tests, this tool will save you so much time and frustration. it's worth it just for those features.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Performance Enhancing
- Unique Features

it's more than just an autocomplete.

What differentiates AskCodi from other similar products?
i’ve used a few ai assistants, and most are just glorified autocompletes. askcodi is different because of its suite of tools. it's not just trying to guess my next line. i use it for refactoring code, translating old javascript to typescript, and even writing database queries from plain english. it's like a swiss army knife.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
the sheer number of things it can do is what i like. the "codespaces" feature in the web app is great for testing out ideas without messing up my local project. i also appreciate that i can use all the different llms. i find claude is better for explanations and gpt-4 is better for complex logic.
What do you dislike most about this product?
the ide extension (i use vs code) feels a bit less powerful than the web app. i wish the "codi apps" were integrated more directly into my editor.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
it's a great all-in-one tool. if you do more than just write new code—like debugging, documenting, or refactoring—askcodi has specific tools that help a ton.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Reliable
- Trustworthy
- Inspires Innovation
