What is Ansys SpaceClaim?

SpaceClaim Engineer is a 3D Direct Modeling software which allows engineers to work with CAD data from any source, regardless of origin. SpaceClaim is used in a number of applications including concept modeling, bid modeling, 2D to 3D transition, manufacturing, reverse engineering, sheet metal manufacturing and model prep.

What differentiates Ansys SpaceClaim from other similar products?

It is a robust and compact system. It has an ease of use level that is a great relief from most of the similar products out there. I can finally concentrate more on designing my work than having to service the software I am using to do it.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The Design Analysis capabilities

What do you dislike most about this product?

I would like to have more control over the color sets on the dashboard but that is so minor and the only thing I would remotely consider 'disliking' about it.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Provide yourself with a standalone station(s) to do the work. You will enjoy it so much more.
