Customization allows to create any instance you need, from test to develop and production environments!
What do you dislike most about this product?
The EC2 graphic interface in the AWS console is not trivial and needs time for completing instance creation and subsequent changes!
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I definitely recommend Amazon EC2 as the core of your cloud-based business. It supports also an easy integration with other Amazon Web Services.

What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?
Mainly the price: AWS have a great price rates according with the use of the product (pay for what you use). Also you can optimize compute performance and cost.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
You can pause and resume the EC2 instances. The networking configuration options. Bunch of AMI availables.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Sometimes it is not easy/clear to set up things related to the EC2 and you can find good documentation about how to do it.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
