It is a perfect choice for those looking for exponential growth with ease of integration it provides effective results.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It scalability is one of my favorite aspects Amazon EC2 offers. The ability to scale resources as per needs makes it a very cost effective solution. It offers unique level of flexibility whether using small application or massive enterprise workloads its adaptability as per environment to provide optimal performance is just EC2 offers in this segment.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It has a very complex pricing model, with so many variety of instance types like spot and reserved as well as additional charges for data and storage makes it very challenging to predict cost accurately. This complexity makes it very harder for new users to understand entire cost of implications especially when they are scaling up or managing multiple instances.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
One must identify there workload environments with a clear understanding while considering Amazon EC2. The AWS Pricing calculator gives a tentative cost as per usage. If someone is planning to use EC2 for long term then they must explore reserved instances and savings plan for better cost effectiveness. You can easily initiate with smaller, on demand instances to test its performances before integrating to your larger setups. One must utilize AWS documentation to get updates on its latest features. Be assured to have a great experience with Amazon EC2.
