What differentiates Slack from other similar products?
Slack is a fantastic platform for collaborating with partners across a variety of systems. I work with 4 different companies with slack and it's super easy to get into a client system and start working together right away. I love the group memory it creates, and the functionality is amazing for file sharing, feedback threads, reminders and replying in line. I love the ability to connect with anyone even if your not within their system.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Ability to post images/files for feedback (I'm a graphic designer) and get notes back instantly that I can start iterating on. This is true for presentations, branding, books, anything. It's got some integrations with box/drop box that are invaluable too. I also recently discovered Huddle, for quick meetings.
What do you dislike most about this product?
This could become a training platform in my opinion, much like zoom/teams, no one is using it as such that I'm aware of.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Try it for a small team first, perhaps a circle of freelancers, you'll quickly fall in love.
