I find Slack as a very productive and customer-centric product, but I feel that giving custom notification with volume and intensity control while working on other important stuff could be a nice add-on feature to this product because the loss of focus during is work hits the most.

If you are willing to shift your existing team communication platform, Slack can be given a chance as it includes a lot of features that can create differences between other alternatives like Skype Business, Rocket. Chat, etc.

Slack is far superior software to the vast majority of competitions, such as Microsoft Teams. It is better because it offers a more professional interface, more ordered through communication channels while Teams focuses on general communication, it does not have the same order. Also, with Slack I get to enjoy a wide variety of built-in bots while Teams only gives me the ability to have one built-in bot. It is also important to highlight how easy it is to use Slack, it is a simple platform to manage and understand around its functions, while Teams is more difficult to configure and use due to the fact that it is linked to Microsoft 365.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of Slack is the fact that you can sort your chat channels through a quick setup. With just a few clicks, Slack allows me to modify existing channels and allows me to add or remove members from a specific channel. Another thing I like is that Slack has an excellent notification system, it notifies me via SMS, email and phone notification when I've been mentioned in a message or if my presence is required in a chat channel. I also love being able to send all kinds of files and documents via Slack, it's a quick process to upload files and send them.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The main things I dislike about Slack is the search system. When we started using Slack, we didn't notice that the search system was a bit limited. After some time using this software, we realized that when performing a search, it does not show very old results for a specific word, it only shows the most recent results and skips the old results. This affects the search for some specific information, I hope you can expand the search system.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

One of the main reasons why I would recommend Slack is because it has been a software that has greatly helped my work area to be able to communicate with other sectors of the company, it has allowed us to share ideas, solutions and provide new support material. In addition, Slack helps us to debate, generate discussions and solve them online. It is a software that helps the user to work regardless of the distance in which they are, it is always effective to share opinions. It is cheap software, with very affordable plans.
