What is Oracle CPQ?

Oracle Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) guides customers through a step-by-step process of entering a correctly configured and fully detailed purchase order. Once a correctly configured order is entered, the CPQ solution responds with a price quote including all the proper discounts, terms, and conditions for this specific customer. If the customer accepts the quote, it then becomes an order. The solution improves order accuracy, shortens sales cycles, and lowers operational costs. It is the only configure, price, quote solution available today that is designed to connect the front- and back-office.

What differentiates Oracle CPQ from other similar products?

Our complicated goods are configured using Oracle CPQ, which also generates bids and orders. In favor of the brand-new cloud-based CPQ software, we replaced the outdated Oracle Configurator. Even though there are numerous advantages, the main one is our capacity to anticipate accurately and identify trends in the market and the behavior of goods and services.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Our enterprise chooses to expedite the full opportunity-to-quote-to-order process with Oracle Configure Price Quote (Oracle CPQ), including product selection, configuration, pricing, quoting, purchasing, and approval procedures. I like each aspect of Oracle CPQ. We generate and renew quotes, and agreements, renew them, edit them, copy them, manage prices, and discounts, manage approvals using workflows, issue alerts, create outputs, utilize reports, and use a variety of interfaces connecting to CRM, ERPS, integrators, etc. in our system.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Price is an issue, as it is with practically every Oracle product. Setting up rules and configurations might take time as well, depending on how complicated our items are. Our system's most challenging component is documented since we still utilize the original Document Designer, an antiquated tool that is difficult to use.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I suggest it because of the aesthetic features of CPQ and the extensive customizability that provide an excellent user experience. For cost estimation, we utilize Oracle CPQ. All of our apps use CPQ, which is our pricing engine, to obtain the final list price. The pricing feature allows for varied price reductions based on different time commitments.

What differentiates Oracle CPQ from other similar products?

Oracle CPQ effectively addresses the lack of a formal quote-to-cash procedure at various businesses I've worked with. It is inefficient for an organization to be run by separate systems that handle things like bids, quotations, etc.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

In our business, Oracle CPQ and Salesforce are linked. It is utilized to generate quotations by many of our important business units. It is used by sales professionals to set up quotations for possible orders. We also intended it to serve as a pricing hub; I like its ability to function as a pricing hub when a variety of apps use it. We could have improved the information model, the set of recommendations, and a lot of other elements.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The biggest loss to the product is a lack of training in capabilities. Although a review of new capability is used, utilization of that performance is allowed for self-discovery as well as try and error as our unique system demands. The user interface might use some additional enhancements, but so far I haven't seen any significant flaws with this software.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

At the interface level, it offers a thorough depiction of the parts in a pleasing and simple layout. Since it is an Oracle product, along with other factors, its cost is considerable, but it may still be purchased without a bigger risk of investment loss. Compared to Oracle Configurator, which we are abandoning, it is a vast improvement.

Pros

  • Caring
  • Client Friendly Policies
  • Acts with Integrity
  • Client's Interest First
