What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
Prior to SharePoint, I had to coordinate everything, making it tough to keep track of my own and my workers' training. Our whole home page is designed on SharePoint, and we have access to shared network files amongst different teams to foster a collaborative work environment. We use Sharepoint extensively and have constructed an interesting dashboard to manage progress reports, workflows, audit reports, praise and gratitude, team building activities, team papers, patient health data, configuration files produced, license tracking, and so on.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
SharePoint is a useful tool that combines all of the features we require into a single, simple solution. I get instant access to files and can communicate with my team colleagues. It provides a single platform for administration management, allowing for fantastic tasks such as historical data restoration, performance monitoring, and data storage optimization. One Drive Control, Encryption, Workflow Management, SMTP Protocols, Contemporary File Hierarchy System, Business Integration, and Content Management Encryption are some of the amazing features.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The cost of SharePoint is an issue since it is dependent on the deployment type. The agreement's total price includes various hidden fees, such as the cost of modification, software operations, and the application bundle. The high level of customisation also incurs expenditures for an organization to adopt a model that corresponds to their company's system. The exorbitant expenditures also imply that endless implementation and training are required to make the full management suite self-sufficient. Depending on the extent of customisation and mix of setups, implementation might also take more than three years.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
SharePoint, unlike us, is not a one-size-fits-all software product; there may be a lot of modification and installation necessary, which may necessitate the hands-on usage of a developer or IT consultant to complete the essential activities. As a result, it is strongly advised to organize a team of developers before connecting with your company's system. You may also need to establish an ongoing team to maintain the suite updated and secure, as Microsoft does not personalize updates based on deployment methodology.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
