What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
SharePoint is a monster of a product Microsoft has, and contains a ton of features and probably several I've never seen. This can be a replacement for file storage/file sharing.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Microsoft has always kept this product on the cutting edge and is highly scalable for any business. I have used SharePoint at least 4 different jobs.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There's nothing to dislike about this product.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you're a large scale/Enterprise business, I would coordinate with a 3rd party to full implement SharePoint. Also having Owners (Champions) of pages or department pages, would be a plus for approvals. Once implemented, this product has a high usage. We're currently using Egnyte for File storage, but if you wanted to consolidate your storage, licenses and administration, this is a viable solution.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
