What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I love how intuitive the product is. We implemented the Knowledge Owl across 15 separate non-profit agencies with business support only; no IT support.
What do you dislike most about this product?

What differentiates KnowledgeOwl from other similar products?
Their intelligent search capability with fuzzy logic works very much like Google, continuously surprising me with how intelligent it is even when search terms are spelt incorrectly. The fact this can be customised too in many ways, such as adding search synonyms or changing the ranking criteria for the search logic. Also, their 'New' and 'Updated' article labels (which can be configured to automatically switch off X days/weeks/months after being set) are a great way of drawing end user attention to new/updated content. Other providers have implemented similar features to those article labels, but Knowledge Owl's works incredibly well.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The excellent, real-time search functionality, as it really is of excellent quality.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The storing and sorting of uploaded assets such as images and videos can be a bit unwieldy to manage at times. While there is a very useful tagging system, you can't easily identify items that haven't been tagged yet, nor can you put files into different folders. Both of those features would be an excellent addition. Also, while there is a strong role-based access set of functions for editors, using the snippets functionality to hide bits of articles to certain end users could be easier to use - but it does work!
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Definitely request a sales session with Marybeth, the Chief Executive Owl (what a great title, eh?). Marybeth is INCREDIBLY knowledgeable and passionate about her product and will give you an honest appraisal of whether Knowledge Owl can meet your requirements. During the tender process, I grew tired of listening to various suppliers fobbing me off with "X feature is on the roadmap" with no evidence to back this up. If something is on the roadmap for Knowledge Owl, Marybeth will say it is - if it's not, she's honest and says "We haven't thought of that yet, but it sounds like an interesting idea - let's catch up about it!". Excellent service.
