Shopify Integration!!
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Jasper PIM from other similar products?
The price and Shopify integration. Based on my research of over a year for a PIM solution, no others fit within my budget, and those that did lacked Shopify integration (Which was a must). The Shopify app was my main selling point. When I compared self-hosted/open source PIM solutions, they were either very incomplete, didn't work well in the cloud or came with many other features that weren't required (pimcore)..
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Dealing with the team, they're great to work with, are informative and happy to help. The product itself is doing what is required and making managing products and updating our software solutions, ERP and Shopify etc
What do you dislike most about this product?
1. Shopify integration has a few flaws: a) Product Type field isn't present in JasperPIM - This is important and a key part of Shopify mainly for use of filters, and populating collections b) The Long Description field, adding images within the WYSIWYG is a little problematic. We can do it by copy/paste, but this adds the image as text (At least in the source code) which caused an issue on Shopify with its Long Description character limits. c) The images import to shopify seems inconsistent + MORE i.e. mis-matched field titles for imports/exports. Browser state not refreshing correctly, product url imports etc
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Ensure they understand the features currently in development, and to run through JasperPIM and its integrations a few times before going ahead with the full integration.
