What differentiates Jama Connect from other similar products?

The ability to get started easily and simplicity of use for our requirements process.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite part of this product is the version control and transparency it facilitates between us and our clients. In a large scale project with many people involved keeping everything organized can be a very difficult task and Jama has made this a much smoother process.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The more advanced features can be a little hard to pick up sometimes but there is a lot of online resources that help.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If requirements gathering and sign off or tracking is a very big part of your business I would highly recommend giving Jama a try.

What differentiates Jama Connect from other similar products?

Jama allows for requirements documentation without having to think of or create the template for your client. Also allows for tracking requirements and changes while routing to approvers.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Automatic approval flow for changes.

What do you dislike most about this product?

We were unable to (at the time) integrate the testing portion in order to track.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I recommend this for requirements documentation!

What differentiates Jama Connect from other similar products?

Jama is the solution to what is wrong in Doors. Excellent traceability, artifact creation, customization, and reusability. The interface is very modern and is nice to the eyes. Everything is organized to where you think it should be so the administration is easy.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspects are deep traceability, communication and reviewing, and reusability. You have 5-6 different ways at looking at traceability, compliance matrices, coverage matrices, etc.... This is very helpful for end of project verification and validation for audits. The reusability function is very useful for agile if you are reusing projects for different cadences or sprints.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I don't dislike much, but the system would do better with a more advanced platform or variation management in testing. I believe they are coming up with a release for that in the next year or so to fix. So for example, you have 50 versions of the same product and you need to test them. If they had an easier platform reuse of the testing like "Test Link" has, this would bring Jama to the next level.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This product is for an organization that struggles with traceability, reviewing technical and business artifacts, multiple time-zone communication, requirement management, and artifact accountability. I also tested out many other systems and the next thing that came close was probably TopTeam Analyst, but Jama is much better at the communication aspect and review engine. The support staff at Jama were amazing and really listened to the stakeholders and their issues. My feedback was directly driven into their feature forecast and business objectives.
