What differentiates Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention from other similar products?
In certain of our departments, Forcepoint DLP has been in use for a while. It gives a solitary management platform that imposes control and safeguards all of our critical data and cloud apps. Using Forcepoint was fantastic. Its user interface is robust and straightforward to use. We can maintain rules and identify incidents with ease. An API-based system for third-party integrations would be helpful. Also, the ability to extend reporting capabilities to regulatory compliance requirements such as GDPR and HIPAA is needed.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
DLP tools may all find sensitive data such as SSNs, credit card numbers, and financial account numbers. But what about sensitive data that doesn't fit the cliché template? Forcepoint DLP offers the capacity to locate sensitive material that is quickly user-defined by keywords and in a particular context, for example. Finding this capability is challenging because the only effective alternative product costs roughly three times as much.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I don't find the terminal GUI to be as user-friendly as I would want, and using policy or policy exceptions as an example, there are a couple of double negative notions that are challenging to grasp. The rules are inconsistent in their effectiveness. For images, I am useless. OCR functionality is absent.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
One of the industry's forerunners, Forcepoint offers organizations a comprehensive view of their data security while reducing their risk exposure. Secure the data throughout its full lifecycle, including the data that is at rest and in use by file servers and endpoint devices that use Microsoft Excel and Word, among other formats.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing

Proactive GRC Software.

What differentiates Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention from other similar products?
It's highly user-friendly. On a website with a user-friendly interface, rules can be managed. For instance, a management module can be used to release a violation. It offers protection against unintentional data loss and compromises for sensitive data. The administration is simple. Simple to customize. able to complete audits and compliance.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Data leaks do occur. Aside from fantasies of 300 baud modem bandits and 12-inch floppy disc hackers, users accidentally cause data loss and leakage by doing little actions that could cause big problems. In addition to stopping this leakage, Forcepoint DLP regularly checks endpoints for leaked data and offers programmed capabilities to return that data to its proper destination or quarantined locations.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Forcepoint has to put more of an emphasis on customer support. There are two SKUs for Forcepoint support listed on the BOM (Bill of Materials): Enterprise Support and Essential Support. Essential support is less expensive, but TAC support keeps customers in line for a very long period, which is not a good indicator when it comes to data protection. Customers need a quick fix.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Whether it be Endpoint DLP, Network DLP, or Cloud Access Security & Identity Management, Forcepoint is one of the best companies that can support the entire lifecycle of an application in terms of data security. Forcepoint can help organizations with the best breed of solutions that are tried and true in the market.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Enables Productivity
- Trustworthy
