Microsoft systems center operations manager has robust monitoring solutions. It provides real time visibility to all our networks. With SCOM, we are able to identify issues within our network, find their root case and resolve them fast.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
In depth diagnostic capabilities of this platform are absolutely amazing. It is simple to trouble shoot and find root causes of problems within our networks. I like how it uses traffic color coding to show the health state of our systems. At all times, we have an extensive view of all our networks ensuring optimal security.
What do you dislike most about this product?
SCOM is very detailed and generates a lot of logs for every incident so following up on what is wrong sometimes is so hard. It also has steep learning curve.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
SCOM has robust APIs ensuring smooth integration with other platforms. It constantly sends alerts about incidents within our network keeping us informed. It checks the relative health and alerts administrators of potential problems. I like most things about SCOM except for the steep learning curve it has.
