Work Life Harmony

Work is a part of life, not a separate entity that must be “balanced” with life. While many of us are proud of the work we do, it shouldn’t be all-consuming – especially in the age of "work from home." Achieve and sustain harmony by setting expectations at work that allow you to maintain your physical and mental health. In this video you will:

  • Understand how the organization and leadership can support you.
  • Recognize your own accountability to setting and upholding boundaries.
  • Learn how you can have courageous conversations, set your own expectations, and find harmony.

About the Speaker

David Hawthorne, SPHR, SHRM-SCP is the Chief People Officer for Anchor Point Management Group, LLC, franchisees of Taco Bell, Buffalo Wild Wings, European Wax Center, and several other concepts throughout the United States. David has spent over twenty exciting years with Anchor Point, growing from HR Manager to his current role, which he has held for over eight years. As Chief People Officer, David leads human resources, benefits, payroll, and risk management for this restaurant and services company exceeding $850MM in revenue and employing more than 11,000 team members across the United States. Prior to Anchor Point, David has fifteen years of HR experience in the restaurant, technology, and insurance industries.

In addition to his work in human resources, David is also an avid reader, baseball fan, whiskey aficionado, and motorcyclist (but not all at the same time). He is proud to be the only (as far as he knows) HR executive with an office full of baseball, Harley, whiskey, and martial arts memorabilia, so a visit to his office is much less like a visit to the “principal’s office” that most folks envision when they go see HR.
