Slack Culture is Real - Very User-Friendly

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?
Slack is extremely easy to implement, as well as migrate instances in the cases of mergers/acquisitions. I have also seen firsthand how employees across all departments using Slack the first time can use it with no training and very minimal ramp-up. Slack also can integrate with a broad depth of software which helps send push-notifications, status updates, and allows control through Slack. These simple integrations can drive productivity enhancements with minimal effort required.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The culture that Slack creates - it encourages companies to become highly connected on a daily basis, and reach one-another remotely at the click of a button. The channels and groups also allow for departments and cross-department functions to interact in a live basis. At our company, we follow a simple rule: don't clog one another's email if the same thing can be accomplished through a Slack.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The search function in Slack can be cumbersome and there have been times where it takes far too long to locate an older critical message, even when searching with all of the correct parameters.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If your company is scaling up (or has already scaled), Slack can drive significantly more value than Microsoft Teams or similar. Having worked at 3 companies fully integrated with Slack, the connectedness and open culture it creates has been far more positive than other systems I have used. Slack is also quite cheap among its competitors, and for companies who wish to integrate other software with Slack, it can keep employees aware of info from these other systems in real-time, without bogging things down with over-connectedness.
Pros
- Reliable
- Saves Time
- Generous Negotitation
- Transparent
