Very helpful for students managing classes!

What differentiates Canvas from other similar products?
I'm not sure, as I've never used another cloud platform like Canvas for academic purposes.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite part of Canvas is that it creates a "one-stop-shop" for all of the information for each class I am taking. I can take quizzes on Canvas, access my grades, schedule Zoom calls with my professors, and more. It's fantastic having basically everything I need in one place. They also have an app for your phone! This is also a great part about Canvas, I can go on my phone and get the same information.
What do you dislike most about this product?
One of the things that is both a blessing and a curse about Canvas is how customizable it is. Each of my professors uses their Canvas page differently, which can be very confusing trying to navigate two pages for two different classes that are not alike in their organization. Professors put things under different sections or just have a page that looks very different in structure from my other professors.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
As I said earlier, I'm not sure what other options are available, but I find Canvas to work really well for our law school and I haven't heard very many complaints about it. If the price is comparable to other services that provide a similar product, I'd give Canvas a shot.
Pros
- Reliable
- Respectful
- Helps Innovate
- Unique Features

Incredibly stable, but can be a bit stiff.

What differentiates Canvas from other similar products?
The stability and consistency of Canvas is far superior to the other LMS's that I have interacted with. And in the field of education, particularly online education, stability is imperative.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect has to be how easy it is to manage courses and accounts on the backend. The ability to import from CSV files to not only populate courses and enrollments, but also manage accounts is amazing.
What do you dislike most about this product?
While I understand the tradeoff for stability, it can be difficult to make certain adjustments to the student experience, particularly on an activity level, as the html options available limit some creativity.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would highly recommend reaching out to their team and demoing the product. This will give you a pretty accurate feel for the LMs as a whole.
Pros
- Reliable
- Enables Productivity
- Respectful
- Acts with Integrity
Cons
- Less Efficient Service
- Less Effective Service
- Wastes Time

Canvas is the best for distance education
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Canvas from other similar products?
This tool has allowed us to provide better online teaching to the students of our institute. A very useful and necessary software to not fall behind with the modules we teach. It is very simple to use and with really useful functions.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Grade calculation, makes the task of correcting and grading much easier for teachers. Mobile access is very useful for both teachers and students to enter the software anytime, anywhere. Quite intuitive software, very practical and easy to use for any age.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Sometimes the software freezes, especially when I am using tools such as attendance tracking. I have found the integration with other platforms such as zoom complicated. On some occasions, it has taken a while to log in, perhaps because of the number of students that the program has.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
A software very used by all teachers and students of the institute, as it has been the most practical way to conduct distance learning classes, especially in this pandemic. The students were able to finish their classes without delay and the teachers were able to carry out their work at a distance, in a dynamic and understandable way for the students.
Pros
- Performance Enhancing
- Effective Service
- Inspires Innovation
- Saves Time
