Asana - A Marvel for Project Management
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Asana from other similar products?
Asana proves to be an immensely user-friendly software, that allows customizations without fail. It allows users to create multiple tasks, and assign them to relevant users with detailed tracking. Further it creates dashboards, which provides a broader picture and detailed visibility for management level decision making compared to other similar applications / software.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Multiple project and task tracking is by far the most amazing feature set that Asana has to offer.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Asana does limit user access, which means, only one user can work on one project, and their lack of collaboration on multiple project simultaneously proves to be a hinderance.

Asana has benefits no matter how you use it
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Asana from other similar products?
The collaboration and efficiency that it generates is unmatched! I personally use Asana daily for planning a master marketing calendar, personal task management, directly managing another employee's tasks, and for cross-department project management. The versatility of the product is wonderful, and it's exciting to see how many new features are being introduced to remain competitive in the AI landscape.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I love that Asana can be at straightforward and simple or as complex and detailed as you want. It's a very user-friendly platform, but there is so much flexibility in customizing fields, rules, or even just how the information is displayed to you personally to adapt to any user preference. It really lends itself to transparency in project management so that everyone can see what is going on and doesn't need to constantly ask for status updates. There are also so many app integrations and features like rules and templates, so automation is a breeze. Asana truly does the heavy lifting for you!
What do you dislike most about this product?
I wish that the option to mark-up attachments on tasks was something that came with our current plan. It looks like Asana has changed pricing tiers and renamed packages, so hopefully this is something that will be addressed with our renewal in the next few months! The only other critique I have at this point is sometimes the user setup and permissions can be difficult to adjust, and access to some of the customization options (such as custom fields) require admin-level changes.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Definitely give the free version a try to see if it helps your personal task management and if you like the interface. Have a few colleagues test it out too. If you decide to go for the paid version, I think you will notice the benefits very quickly!
Pros
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
- Trustworthy
- Helps Innovate
Cons
- Leverages Incumbent Status
