Information is always at our fingertips, and so is the risk of deliberate or inadvertent plagiarism. To avoid the ethical and legal dilemmas that arise out of plagiarism, a strict policy should be constructed and include:
- Details on what is considered plagiarism, what is copyright.
- Expectations around the use of existing content, from a plagiarism and copyright standpoint.
- Compliance procedure, and mechanisms for non-compliance.
