The Negotiation Assessment Tool evaluates a participant’s dominant negotiation style, as well as their negotiation behaviors and techniques. Input into the tool allows for a comparison of results before and after training, areas that require development, and how the participant can strengthen them.

Participants will answer questions on:

  • What components of various styles they tend to use in a negotiation.
  • What their preparation techniques are.
  • How they share information during the exchange stage of a negotiation.
  • How well they bargain.
  • What techniques and skills they apply during the closing phase of a negotiation.

The tool also provides the option of having an external assessor evaluate the participant’s negotiation technique and behaviors. The inclusion of an external assessor’s input will provide more objective results for the participant to work with.
