Use the case studies in the Use Effective Leadership Styles training deck for additional practice applying the theory into the work world. The emphasis is not on analytical tools but more on situational analysis to determine the best leadership style for each case study.
These case studies will provide the opportunity for discussion on leadership styles and their appropriateness and consequences in each particular situation by addressing the following questions in a group discussion:
- Is the style they chose appropriate?
- What are the positive or negative consequences of the leadership styles chosen?
- How will the staff likely react to that leadership style?
- Are there multiple styles that could be used in this situation? If so why?
