When it comes to rewards and recognition, no one knows better what motivates staff than staff themselves. Ask for their input and listen to it.

Use this survey template to ask employees about preferences on:

  • Criteria for rewards and recognition such as length of service, team awards, and peer awards
  • Types of delivery mechanisms such as group announcements or one-on-one acknowledgment
  • Frequency of rewards and recognition.

When it comes to rewards and recognition, getting it wrong means that you aren’t encouraging desired behaviors you want, and you could be bringing out behaviors you don’t. Find out how employees really feel to get it right.
